Dining Room Refresh

March 10, 2016

Today the temps are supposed to reach 80 degrees...in March...crazy....wonderful!  We have had such a cold spell the past few months and I am embracing this change of weather with open arms.

The first signs of spring are starting to pop up in our yard.  Birds chirping, buds forming on the trees and daffodils sprouting in the yard.  I always get excited this time of year to see what will come out of the ground.  With this being our first spring in the new house, I have no idea what or where growth will occur.  I think the kids are equally as excited to discover the new signs of spring.

I decided yesterday to start adding touches of spring to our dining room.  I of course turned to our Market for inspiration.  First up was to add the  Rustic White Votive Holderto the dining room table.  Since the day I spotted this beauty I knew exactly where I wanted it to go.  I thought it would be perfect for my dining room.

We have a long table that seats 8 so adding something substantial as this works.  One of my favorite aspects of this piece is that although it is long with a wide base it is also airy.  It does not block conversation or view of the other person sitting across from you. I just thought it was perfect.

Not only can it hold votive candles, but flowers, greenery, berries, candy...the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

I decided to run with the flower idea for spring.  I love the way it looks with the tulips I just purchased.

I can't wait to add more signs of spring to my dining room in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned for more pictures and inspiration.  The dining refresh will continue!
