A few weeks back I posted on  fireplace insperation.  Since then, I have given one of our fireplaces a little makeover.  

This fireplace is located in our front sitting room.  This is one of the original rooms of our 1920s home.  Because of this I feel that this room can handle all the character and charm I throw at it.  So, the fireplace went black.  And I love it!

I painted it with Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black in a matte finish.  Let me tell you, painting with black is a somewhat nerve racking and exhilarating feeling.  I may have to do it more :).

To compliment our newly painted fireplace, I painted the walls in Sherwin Williams Summer White.  This is a beautiful off white with a hint of yellow.  It is truly one of my favorite colors in the house.

I love the way our fireplace came out.  It completes this room and looks even more historical and charming then it did before.
